Practicum Placement

Are you looking to complete your therapist internship on the path to registration with the CRPO? Our placements are designed to provide a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment where students can gain real-world experience while learning from seasoned professionals.

What Can You Expect? 

As a practicum student at NCS, you will:

• Receive an in-person placement experience.

• Develop professional skills, including; clinical assessment, treatment planning, evidence-based interventions and ethical decision-making.

• Conduct therapy, applying evidence-based approaches to address issues like anxiety, depression, stress, and more.

• Participate in weekly supervision with experienced psychotherapists, ensuring you receive meaningful guidance and support throughout your placement.

• Experience a strong sense of community within a practice known for its personable, client-centered approach.

Support & Learning 

We are committed to helping you grow both professionally and personally. You will receive:

• Hands-on mentorship and regular feedback to enhance your therapeutic skills.

• A chance to observe and co-facilitate therapy sessions, as well as participate in client consultations.

• An opportunity to learn and apply modalities such as CBT, Solution Focused, Acceptance & Commitment, and Mindfulness Therapy.
